I know you all
might be wondering how I met henry, it all went down like this……………
**flashback**
I was coming back
from my departmental seminar that day when some guys snatched my bag from me leaving
me stranded in school unable to go home because I had to take a bike to my
hostel and I was currently weak, luckily for me henry was there when it
happened so he chased after the guys and recovered my bag for me and I was
really happy so later he asked for my contact which I gave him without thinking
twice because he was my hero for the day …. He called me later in the day to
check on me which I really appreciated…. Henry is not really tall, fair in
complexion with sexy pink lips which I really admired but something was fishy
about him he had tattoos all over his right hand well I cared less, we later
became friends, henry is also in final year studying law…. Henry is a very
caring and loving dude but I knew something was fishy about him but I cared
less…. Henry call me many times in a day, he takes me out frequently and he
also loves making me smile with his jokes meanwhile he had not even propose to
me, on a particular day we were both in the cafeteria and he suddenly fell down,
everybody rushed towards him to lift him up and check what’s wrong, immediately
they lifted him up he went down on kneels and did the unimaginable thing I never
expected, in fact I never saw it coming.. he knelt down and brought a ring case
opening it and asking me to be his girlfriend everybody were amazed at this and
suddenly they all started shouting “say yes” this left me speechless so
eventually I said yes…
**back to reality**
I no longer sleep
in my hostel because I now stay alone, well I know you guys might be wondering
about Tonia cos the last I thing I said about her was dat I was not able to
reach her well that’s another story for another time.. staying alone seems
boring to me and I was really happy about having henry in my life… later in the
day I went over to henry’s place as usual I cooked waiting for him to return
but I didn’t see him and it was already past 9 in the night this kept me
worried so I tried his number it was ringing but he refused to answer it while I
was still trying his number and wondering what happened he just barged and fell
down in a pool of blood, this shocked me, when he fell down to the ground he
told me to lock the door so I did as he said and I started taking care of the
wounds on his body and left him to sleep… when he woke up in the morning I asked
him what happened but all he did was to push me away and left the room angry,
at first I thought I was dreaming but I realized he actually did that…..
Is this the same
henry I know?
Is this the same scaring
and loving guy I know?
Does he truly love
me?
What is he hiding
from me?
What happened to
him to yesterday?
I left for my
hostel angry now thinking about my life in general that was when Tonia popped
up in my head………
**flashback**
Cynthia: good
morning Tonia
Tonia: morning
roomie
Cynthia: where have
you been since?
Tonia: don’t tell
me you’re worried about me?
Cynthia: why won’t I
be? You’re my roomie na
Tonia: awwn that’s lovely,
anyways have been away with my beau (boo)
Cynthia: hmmmm beau

Tonia: my latest
catch Peter
Cynthia: hmmm Tonia
take life easy o
Tonia: I should be
telling you that o
Cynthia: na u sabi
Tonia: ehn ehn am
going to club with peter tonight, would you be opportune to join us?
Cynthia: no o I won’t
be o, I have Mr. Owonikoko’s test to prepare for
Tonia: alright then
Around 9pm that I left
for school to read overnight because of the test, I did all my best In
reading.. early in the morning around 7am when I got to school so as be able to
revise for the test I saw some people gathered around and I started wondering what
happened I just ignored and headed towards my faculty suddenly I heard someone
shout my name Cynthia you need to see this, when I got there I met Tonia lying
naked and lifeless on the floor….. It was so certain that her so called new
catch had used her for rituals or whatever was his plans….. When I saw her I fainted
immediately and when I woke up in the hospital I busted into tears pitying Tonia
…..Well on the other she deserved what happened because when her parents came
to collect her body I found out her father is a mechanic and her mom is not
dead she’s still hale and healthy.. Tonia is the type of girl that wants to
fits into a society standard not meant for her…

It’s not by force
to be who you are not, whenever you lie about who you are you will need more
lies to cover up for your previous lies and meanwhile there is no good thing in
trying to fit into a society you know nothing about, forget about whatever
anybody might have told you about the society take your time to study the
society before you try to fit in………
